Lumitec's General Area Illumination (GAI) light is an all-purpose positionable task light with a small size, high output, and unique features such as dimming and dual color output. The machined aluminum body is attractive yet durable and completely water sealed (IP67). The GAI is available with three different base type. The regular base has a small footprint and a minimalist look, perfect as an inconspicuous task or chart light. The heavy duty base is for applications that require a more durable mounting point on T-Tops or outdoor work spaces. The HD base is also available with a built in switch, perfect for cabin reading lights where you might want to control the light right from your chair or bed. The switch is not IP67 sealed, and so we do not recommend the switched GAI for outside use.

When GAI lights turn on they will ramp up in intensity from a soft glow to full brightness. Simply interrupt this ramp up with an 'off/on' toggle of your switch to hold the light at your desired intensity. A second 'off/on' toggle will change the light to it's secondary color output. On the Spectrum models it will cycle through all the colors and you can set your desired color with a third 'off/on' toggle. Switching your lights to off for more than 2 seconds will reset the cycle back to the start.

GAI is offered in brushed aluminum and white powdercoated finishes.
