Southco 1.5" Slam Latch

Southco's small size M1 push-to-close latch is a great product for custom marine applications, tackle boxes, automotive compartments, or electronic enclosures. These latches easily install in a 1.5" round hole with a panel thickness between 0.36" and 0.83" (9 - 21 mm). A marine grade 316 stainless steel construction with a polished finish will keep these latches looking and functioning like new, even in harsh outdoor applications. An optional privacy lock can provide added security with the Orcas/Southco splined tubular key.

Each latch comes with a backing plate, screws, a keeper, and a key. For thinner doors, there is an available spacer which can be found at the bottom of this page. The Southco part number is M1-15-61-8 for the non-locking model and M1-15-41-8 for the key-locking.
