Southco's Detent Hinges offer multiple design advantages with clean external looks, corrosion-resistant construction, and a full 180° range of motion that provides easy access to the compartments or enclosures on your boat. Doors and hatches are held open at a predetermined angle, either 80, 115, or 150 degrees. With these angles there are three different positioning torque values. The torque defines how much force is needed to move the hinge from both it's closed and detent positions. Also available is a no-detent free swinging hinge. The hinge tube is offered in either hardened steel or stainless steel, perfect for marine environments. Screw covers are included.
The C6 Detent hinges are used on some adventure touring bikes, such as the BMW GS series panniers.
