Southco's sealed lever latch is a patented award-winning design that offers stylish looks while achieving compressive sealing and easy grip adjustment. This flush-mount latch can be found on industrial machinery, trailers, motorhomes and RVs, and in the marine industry on boats and yachts. They are powder-coated black for a durable finish. NEMA 4 and IP-66 (Protected against heavy seas) sealing is achieved when using the optional flange gasket.
Their are several option available on the C5. You have your choice between locking and non-locking configurations. The locking version is available from Southco with or without a dust shutter in the keyhole, however in order to simplify ordering, and our inventory, all of our locking models come with the dust shutter. Similarly, Southco manufactures regular steel and stainless steel versions. All of our latches are offered with the upgraded stainless steel option.
The door thickness and grip range of your latch need to be selected in the options area above. Door/panel thickness is pretty straight forward. You can view the technical specs tab to see the rear mounting brackets and screws for the various thicknesses. The grip range is the distance from the outside of the door to the inside frame where the lever arm latches against. You can find technical drawings in the technical specs tab as well. If you are replacing latches currently installed you can simply measure the lever arm length, illustrated in the pictures above.
